Silvie H Patterson

Niche Nannies was founded in 2007 by Silvie H Patterson, she is the Managing Director,   offering a very personal service towards both clients and nannies needing assistance and looking for 'perfectly suited' candidates and positions.

Silvie's personal experiences over the years have included roles as governess, nanny and P.A to several high profile families overseas, in the Middle East as well as celebrity clients in the U.K.

They have prepared her well for the recruitment of high standard staff in the U.K. and her recent research into expanding Niche Nannies has taken her to Abu Dhabi. She was keen to find out exactly what it takes to be a western nanny/staff member to high profile clients, to know how the cultural differences and sheer commitment of her own recruits would be.

In 2016, Silvie was privileged to be approached by Anasy Media, the makers of the documentary 'Nanny Culture'. Her own career path proved invaluable when asked to be an executive consultant on the experiences of nannies in United Arab Emirates.

It is with great pride that she announces the launch of 'Niche Nannies placement services in the UAE'.

4 Steps Process

Which Childcare Type?

Once you’ve decided on the type of childcare required i.e. nanny, maternity nurse, housekeeper please fill in parents registration form. When we have your information will review it and contact you to further discuss your specific requirements and complete your registration with Niche Nannies.

Filtering Candidates.

Being fully aware of the complex dynamics involved in forming a harmonious relationship between a nanny and the employer, we will then assess your needs and the setting in which the nanny will be working. We will filter candidates CV's so as to provide you with potential childcarers who we feel will best suit family.

Arranging Interviews.

Once you have selected candidates, we will arrange a convenient time for both parties to meet and go through the formal interview process. We require all candidates to bring all documents relating to qualifications, training certification achieved, references from relevant previous employers and a copy of their current CV.

Childcarer Selection.

After interviewing, once you feel comfortable with a particular candidate and you forward a job offer, we can help by providing a sample work agreement (contract), thus helping to make sure all key considerations have been addressed. Once the offer has been accepted by the nanny, she is directly employed by the family.
