"Mary Poppins" — but with a very different kind of musical track

Several years ago, Silvie embarked on a fact-finding trip to the Middle East to explore what it takes — mentally, physically, and culturally — to work in the United Arab Emirates. She also acted as Executive Consultant for the documentary and played a co-starring role alongside Louisa Bishop.

The documentary provides a fascinating insight into the lives of British nannies working for Emirati families. It follows an Emirati family who temporarily hire a British nanny to assist with children's daily activities and study schedules, showcasing how different nationalities interact and coexist harmoniously.

It highlights inter-cultural coexistence, the nanny's background, the family's goals, and the benefits of nanny employment — capturing the lifestyle and challenges of British nannies in the UAE with authenticity drawn from lived experience.
