SUMMARY:
The Montessori Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a classroom environment that follows the Montessori educational approach. The role requires a warm and friendly personality, sensitivity to others, and the ability to relate well with both children and adults.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interactions with Children: Engage with children respectfully and lovingly, fostering self-discipline and independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Family and Community Engagement: Include and support families in the Montessori environment, maintaining open communication and encouraging participation.
- Learning Environment: Plan and implement the curriculum, maintain the classroom, and ensure a safe, well-supplied environment.
- Leadership: Lead and support classroom staff, assist with recruiting and training, and participate in community events.
- Professional Development: Engage in on-going training and professional growth activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
- AMI Diploma (or equivalent Montessori/EYFS Diploma)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in English
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (or obtain within initial review period)
- Successful background check clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform tasks such as kneeling, bending, sitting on the floor, lifting children, and maintaining a clean environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a Montessori setting with children aged 0-6
- Experience with diverse populations and in supervisory roles.
